Recommended Furnace Maintenance
- Replace air filter three to four times per year.
- Have your furnace cleaned and check every year for efficiency and safety.
- Place carbon monoxide detectors throughout the house.
- Keep fresh batteries in your carbon monoxide detectors.
- Do not put combustible materials near furnace.
- Keep most of your furnace vents open so the burner and heat exchange don’t get too hot.
- If you hear unusual noises, have a technician look over your furnace.
- Replace furnace igniters every 2-3 years to help prevent unwanted, mid-winter breakdowns.
